Account Manager - Alternative Investments

The Account Manager is responsible for managing the client relationship through the day to day service delivery model. The Account Manager will support the relationship managers, maintain and expand the client relationships primarily with Alternative Investment Clients; serving as the point of contact for the daily activities and initiatives for the client.
The responsibilities for this position may include some or all of the following:
Client Relationship:
Support the overall client relationship and service model
Deepen and broaden relationships within the client as demonstrated by NPS
Create and manage client account plan
Develop an intimate understanding of the client's business and objectives
Conduct annual business planning process with clients
Identify, resolve, and /or escalate critical issues
Manage client and internal expectations for ad hoc requests
Act as consultant - Identify and present innovative recommendations relating to: industry trends, product differentiation (product rollout, new classes, channels, etc), new market opportunities, success stories, etc.)
Work with team to continually define our service offering and manage client expectations
Collaborate with Relationship Management (where necessary) on client strategy.
Project Management:
Manage key client projects (prioritize projects, identify new projects to be initiated, gather resources, monitor milestones, perform business analysis, document, etc.
Liaison - advocate for SEI and client, point of contact for client
Manage client needs and issues with strategic partners
Open new funds (classes, closings), coordinating activities within IMS, SEI Trust Company and relevant third parties
Coordinate fund mergers
Manage asset pool conversions
Administrator/distributor conversions
Implement new clients, new funds and new products (including solutions)
Prepare Board package, as necessary
Gather certain information from client as needed
Identify and document best practices and operational efficiencies
Ensure standardized processes are created and used to manage routine activities
Misc
Contribute to the success of the market unit by identifying and participating in department wide initiatives to improve effectiveness
Provide information, feedback and ideas to enhance our solutions
Foster relationship and support SEI team members and other teams involved in client relationship including Relationship Manager, Solutions, Operations, Legal and SIDCo (as applicable)
Develop Relationships within other SEI Solutions Groups
Leverage internal intellectual capital and share success stories
Expand industry knowledge and network
Manage receivables and billing process
RM Support/Business Management (Internal):
Ensure relationship maintains revenue and profitability
Support existing client business forecasting
Perform annual client account reviews
Develop forecast for existing business using Client Business Plan and current proforma
Identify conversion opportunities
Identify cross selling opportunities
Support recontract and RFP recontract processes
Position Requirements:BS/BA Finance, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience)
5+ years investment management/operational experience
Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, facilitation, presentation)
Strong team building skills
Excellent Client Service skills/CEP
Proven project management skills
Demonstrated problem solving skills/analytical skills
Advanced knowledge of mutual fund and collective trust industry
Understanding of distribution channels
Regular and reliable attendance in accordance with position, business and/or client needs
Travel up to 30% may be required

Physical Demands and Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the work environment may require an individual to move around the office and from building to building which may expose the individual to weather conditions outside. The individual has to be able to sit or be stationary at a computer and use computers for extended periods of time and occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds. The noise level in the environment is moderate and the individual must be able to communicate and exchange information with people in person and over the telephone and email.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
