Operations Analyst, Centralized Operations

The trade investment processing analyst will operate in a team environment and will rely heavily on the use of the micro-computer and various software packages. Responsibilities will include:
Record investment advisors security trades in a timely manner
Process investment advisor cancellation or corrections
Review security audit report and address any exceptions in a timely manner
Archive daily trading activity and any attached documentation
Assist with any audit trade related requests
Follow team policies and procedures
Strictly adhere to other established departmental processing procedures and controls
Monitor failed trades and exceptions that are flagged
Communicate daily workflow to other internal teams
Ensure other teams are notified in a timely manner of all investment advisor trading activity
Position Requirements
BA / BS in Finance, Accounting, Mathematics or Economics or equivalent experience preferred.
Internship experience preferred.
Strong dedication to quality customer service.
Excellent verbal and written skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills/team player.
Detail oriented
Ability to handle multiple tasks.
Ability to work under pressure to meet daily deadlines.
Excellent organizational and advanced problem solving skills.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office and including Word, Excel and Outlook.
Ability to work in an environment in which processes and procedures are actively evolving.
Knowledge of financial, investment industry and/or institutional separate accounts is a plus.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the work environment may require an individual to move around the office and from building to building which may expose the individual to weather conditions outside. The individual has to be able to sit or be stationary at a computer and use computers for extended periods of time and occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds. The noise level in the environment is moderate and the individual must be able to communicate and exchange information with people in person and over the telephone and email.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
