Technology Risk Analyst

The Technology Risk group has accountability for technology risk and compliance activities across the entire organization. The successful candidate will be part of a team that will create and implement the vision, strategy, structure, and resources required to lead comprehensive technology control and risk initiatives.
The Technology Risk Analyst will work with the Technology Risk Officer to partner with business, functional and other control and risk groups on the development of new, and oversight of existing, control functions and protocols. The role's primary function will be to support and provide input to solidify an effective technology governance, risk and compliance framework for SEI, looking within and across lines of business, and to identify and remediate control issues.
Responsibilities include:
Understand and assist in achieving unit service objectives and key results areas (KRAs).
Promote and support a culture of compliance, risk avoidance/mitigation and corporate accountability throughout the organization.
Represent Information Technology in information technology assessments and/or audits of IT systems, processes, and general IT controls.
Understand technology and operational risks to the Information Technology organization as well as related laws, regulations, and industry standards, specifically as related to internal technology solutions; work with others to help promote effective management of identified risks in accordance with the Enterprise Risk Management program.
Assess and recommend policies, standards, procedures, controls, and security solutions to assure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information technology processes and the environment.
Identify opportunities to build GRC programs into the daily operation of Information Technology.
Assist in development of tools, training, policies and procedures to support those programs.
Provide analytical support to the management team regarding GRC metrics, reporting and special projects.
Work with counterparts in Enterprise Risk Management, Internal Audit, Information Security and Technology groups to ensure policy/procedure and control standardization.
Work with auditors, regulators, and technical subject matter experts to satisfy internal and external audit, regulatory or client due diligence requirements.
Serve as a subject matter expert for technology governance and compliance frameworks and regulations for technology areas.
Identify and monitor non-compliance and escalate when appropriate.
Responsibility for helping to ensure compliance with specific technology regulations relevant to the businesses and countries where SEI does business.
Work across businesses and geographies, identifying key themes in establishing common processes to ensure maintained compliance.
Work with technical subject matter experts to identify, mitigate and manage risk.
Review workflows, hand-offs, process steps and existing policies and procedures; analyze for areas of improvement and provide recommendations.
Establish and maintain strong working relationships across all business units and all levels of the organization.
Position Requirements
A minimum of 2 years of financial services experience with strong knowledge/experience across operations, technology, risk, legal, compliance, business management or other control functions
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, or equivalent experience
Well rounded knowledge of distributed technology environments
Must be current on COBIT, ITIL and ISO frameworks and principles
Solid analytical skills and the ability to evaluate business aspects of existing and future technologies
Solves problems through analysis and the selection of solutions based on practice or precedent
Previous experience working the Scaled Agile Framework development process
Previous experience with AIFMD, UCITS, MIFID, FINRA, FFIED, AICPA, ISACA, and ITIL frameworks
Previous experience in internal audit and external audit
Proactive individual who takes ownership of issues
Highly driven self-starter, motivated, excellent communication and organization skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Strong ability to convey and influence complex information risk and security issues in a manner that is easily understood and actionable
Constructively challenges prevailing thoughts and processes
Strong, proven working knowledge of Risk Management, Information Security, Controls, and IT Audit practices or some combination thereof
Proven record of high performance in problem solving, collaborating, planning/priority setting, timely decision making, perseverance, and a drive for results
Able to effectively analyze risk within the context of a business problem
Very strong interpersonal skills in terms of effective listening, patience, composure, and conflict management
Strong conceptual grasp of technology
Experience interfacing all levels of the organization, Executive to Scrum Teams
Exceptional oral and written communication skills
Location and Travel
This position will be based at our corporate headquarters in Oaks, PA. Some domestic and international travel may be required.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the work environment may require an individual to move around the office and from building to building which may expose the individual to weather conditions outside. The individual has to be able to sit or be stationary at a computer and use computers for extended periods of time and occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds. The noise level in the environment is moderate and the individual must be able to communicate and exchange information with people in person and over the telephone and email.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
