Supervisor, Centralized Operations

The supervisor role requires a self-motivated, goal-oriented individual to manage multiple tasks in a time sensitive delivery schedule. The supervisor's responsibilities revolving around IMS Operations will include all aspects of the setup and maintenance of various asset types. Additional responsibilities include the pricing and quality review of the various asset types for Mutual Fund, and Hedge fund clients.
The responsibilities for this position may include some or all of the following:
Ensuring all established processing procedures and controls are completed accurately and timely on a daily basis, including daily pricing procedures as well as daily trade processing
Work with external clients and internal management to coordinate and facilitate an efficient, standardized T+0 operating model
Training and supervising staff on processing, procedures and job responsibilities
Evaluating, write and discuss employees' performance appraisals
Researching and resolving client issues, and receive training in the 'client experience'
Adhering to the client specific SLAs, as outlined
Assisting with client implementations when necessary
Participating in team projects
Position Requirements
Position Requirements:
BS/BA degree in business, finance or related field, or the equivalent in education and work experience
Minimum of 2 years industry experience
Experience with Sungard InvestOne and Advent Geneva accounting systems
Strong organizational and analytical skills
Excellent Interpersonal and communications skills
Excellent problem solving skills
Proficient with Excel, Access, Bloomberg, and reporting tools.
Must be willing to work effectively independently, as well as in a team, in an open floor environment
Regular and reliable attendance in accordance with position, business and/or client needs.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the work environment may require an individual to move around the office and from building to building which may expose the individual to weather conditions outside. The individual has to be able to sit or be stationary at a computer and use computers for extended periods of time and occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds. The noise level in the environment is moderate and the individual must be able to communicate and exchange information with people in person and over the telephone and email.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
