Senior Accountant, Financial Reporting

The Senior Accountant, Financial Reporting is responsible for assisting with the preparation of the Company's consolidated and subsidiary financial statements and other regulatory reporting requirements, participate in developing accounting policies and procedures, monitoring and implementing new accounting standards, as applicable and maintaining necessary documentation for compliance with applicable accounting controls over financial reporting. The Senior Accountant also is responsible for maintaining key internal and external relationships important to the Company's financial reporting process.
The Senior Accountant is responsible for ensuring timely completion in accordance with established deadlines and reporting to accounting leadership and other internal and external parties as necessary.
Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Prepare the consolidated financial statements and other information included in quarterly and annual SEC filings, ensuring compliance with all reporting and disclosure requirements under US GAAP and the SEC, as applicable.
Assist with the SEC reporting function in the preparation of the Form 10-K's and Form 10-Q's, including MD&A, consolidated financial statements and notes, and coordinate the document related responsibilities.
Prepare subsidiary and other financial statements submitted externally to regulators and other parties for various reporting obligations, ensuring compliance with all reporting and disclosure requirements under US GAAP and other regulations, as applicable.
Maintain and update accounting internal control policies and procedures and provides supporting documentation to internal audit regarding completion of control procedures.
Assist in the analysis of transactions considering the relevant accounting literature and assessing the effect on the Company's results, financial position and financial statement disclosure.
Coordinate with both external and internal auditors to provide requested documentation regarding financial statements and footnote disclosures.
Contribute to the monthly and quarterly close process.
Prepare the annual goodwill and intangibles impairment testing, or more frequently if triggering events occur. This includes preparing technical and internal control memos.
Assist with monitoring authoritative accounting literature, assessing the impact of new and existing pronouncements and applying guidance, as applicable.
Assist with the drafting and/or updating the accounting policies, procedures and controls.
Regular and reliable attendance in accordance with position, business and/or client needs.
Other tasks and projects as required.
Position Requirements
Bachelor's degree required. Preference in: Accounting, Finance or Business related field.
CPA certificate required.
3-4 years public accounting/industry experience.
Strong knowledge of technical accounting (GAAP and SEC rules) required.
Big 4 experience strongly preferred.

Physical Demands and Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, individual may be required to move around the office and from building to building. This may expose the individual to weather conditions outside. The individual has to be able to be stationary at a computer for extended periods of time and occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds. Our office is an open environment. The individual must be able to successfully work in an open environment with a moderate noise level.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
