Specialist, SMA Trading

Responsibilities include creating and executing trades and providing high quality of service to clients. The position requires attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast pace environment and meet daily deadlines. Experience in the investment industry and Fiserv APL system knowledge is required.
The responsibilities for this position may include some or all of the following:
Create and execute trades via APL trading tools in an accurate and timely manner
Facilitate setup and monitoring of audit, drift, and trade maintenance reports
Provide a high level of service to investment managers
Facilitate allocation of all block and maintenance trades
Support step out trade process
Work in conjunction with DTC/Trade Settlement team for resolutions
Contribute to overall departmental process workflow creation and maintenance
Assist on departmental projects as requested
Position Requirements
Position Requirements:
BS/BA degree in accounting, finance, business or related field, or the equivalent in education and work experience
Minimum of 3 years operational analyst experience in financial, investment industry and\or separately managed accounts
Knowledge of separately managed accounts
Advanced knowledge of APL system (specifically trading tools)
Experience with creating and executing Block Trades
Thorough understanding of Block Trade step out process
Excellent organizational and advanced problem solving skills
Strong dedication to quality customer service
Excellent verbal skills
Excellent interpersonal skills / team player
Experience with managing trading staff
Knowledge of Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, and Access)
Ability to work in an environment in which processes and procedures are actively evolving
Regular and reliable attendance in accordance with position, business and/or client needs.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the work environment may require an individual to move around the office and from building to building which may expose the individual to weather conditions outside. The individual has to be able to sit or be stationary at a computer and use computers for extended periods of time and occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds. The noise level in the environment is moderate and the individual must be able to communicate and exchange information with people in person and over the telephone and email.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
