Operations Analyst, IPC Perf Measurement

The Institutional and Private Client outsourcing team is dedicated to providing front, middle and back-office solutions to the investment management industry. The team supports investment operations for leading traditional and alternative investment management firms, including trade administration and settlement, investment accounting, reconciliation, performance measurement, end-client billing and end-client reporting as well as day-to-day reporting to support each investment manager's daily investment process and decision-making. The Performance Measurement Analyst is responsible for ensuring the successful and accurate production of portfolio, security and composite level performance data for the team's clients. Primary responsibilities include monitoring, validation and analysis of portfolio performance data within SEI's performance measurement applications, problem-solving by researching activity and interacting with a variety of clients, custodians and system vendors, developing and documenting performance measurement workflows and procedures, and managing client on-boarding projects to load current and historic performance-related data.
The position requires the ability to work in a very fast-paced environment while meeting all application daily deadlines; excellent communication and computer skills.
The responsibilities for this position may include some or all of the following:
Support client-directed service-level agreements
Communicate clearly and concisely in a timely fashion to clients, management and other team members
Ensure quality and accuracy of daily, monthly and quarterly performance returns, as well as those for specific periods
Ensure all established daily performance measurement, processing procedures and controls are completed accurately and timely
Prepare daily and monthly composite returns for assigned portfolios
Perform timely and accurate reconciliations to support performance calculation and reporting
Prepare and monitor expense budget analysis
Review, approve and assist with preparation of month-end valuation
Conduct problem and error resolution on a timely basis (with documentation)
Coordinate activities (enhancements / fixes etc.) with internal technical support and product teams as well as outside vendors and service providers (e.g., Advent Software, First Rate, etc.)
Ensure adequate testing of and preparation for all technology upgrades

BA / BS in Finance, Accounting, Mathematics or Economics or 1 year equivalent experience preferred.
Internship or one year professional experience preferred.
Knowledge of financial, investment industry and/or institutional separate accounts is desirable
Prior Geneva, APL and/or Database (SQL, Access, etc.) experience preferred

Physical Demands and Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the work environment may require an individual to move around the office and from building to building which may expose the individual to weather conditions outside. The individual has to be able to sit or be stationary at a computer and use computers for extended periods of time and occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds. The noise level in the environment is moderate and the individual must be able to communicate and exchange information with people in person and over the telephone and email.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
