Middle Office TRAC Specialist

The Middle Office Team supports Registered Investment Advisors (RIAs), Banks, Money Managers and the SEI Wealth Network by providing exceptional administrative services to high-net-worth clients. The Middle Office Trend Reconciliation and Controls (TRAC) Specialist must have a strong client oriented approach and should possess an understanding of the mutual fund, securities business, the investment management operations business, and knowledge of Back Office Operations. The Middle Office TRAC Specialist will be dedicated to providing the absolute highest level of service, back office support, and personal account management to clients within the Advisor, Enterprise and Wealth channels. The position requires the ability to handle sensitive information in a confidential manner. This role requires a self-motivated, goal-oriented individual to manage multiple tasks in a time sensitive delivery schedule. The individual is required to have exceptional research, problem solving and communication skills, have the ability to interact with the Department Managers, and work independently as well as in a Team environment. This individual should possess a strong understanding of the mutual fund and securities business and have a willingness to learn and develop their project management skills.
Job Responsibilities:
Utilize all workflow systems and platforms to complete reversals, corrections, and write-offs on behalf of domestic clients and SEI
Perform daily tasks associated with the responsibilities of the team and business initiatives
Proactively employ independent decision making to provide innovations and modifications which are in compliance with industry requirements and are consistent with corporate objectives and goals to improve operational processes, systems, policies and procedures
Provide technical, industry, process, and trouble-shooting support to a team of operation analysts within their own unit/discipline. Act as the escalation point to analysts.
Analyze and track trends in monetary and non-monetary transactions to provide short and long term solutions
Assist with management reports to track procedural changes, quality performance metrics, validate proper processing functions, and identify areas of risk through root-cause analysis
Develop standard controls and procedures to improve accuracy and efficiency in transaction processing and service
Provide quality assurance of internal and external client transactions
Demonstrate organizational and project management skills
Execute and transact within defined parameters, with some expansion, based on developing capabilities and experiences, in partnership with more experienced staff
Demonstrate ability to work closely and communicate with multiple internal and external groups, representing the department at a broader level
Independent judgment and decision making within the functional area of expertise.
Train and mentor analysts, as needed.
Participate in client conversions, User Acceptance Testing and improvement activities.

Position Requirements
BS/BA degree in business, finance or related field, or the equivalent in education and work experience
2 years minimum in or related to the financial services industry, 3 years preferred
Managed Accounts experience is preferred.
Trust3000 and/or SWP processing experience is necessary; Advisor Network experience is preferred
Excellent analytical, research and problem solving skills with the ability to think creatively and independently to seek optimum solutions
Strong interpersonal and communications skills
Detail oriented
Ability to prioritize in a high volume, deadline driven environment
Excellent time management and organizational skills with a strong attention to detail
Ability to work independently and to participate as a team player
Ability to work well under pressure
Ability to be flexible and adapt to role and organizational changes
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite of products
Physical Demands and Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, individual may be required to move around the office and from building to building. This may expose the individual to weather conditions outside. The individual has to be able to be stationary at a computer for extended periods of time and occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds. Our office is an open environment. The individual must be able to successfully work in an open environment with a moderate noise level.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
