We have an immediate contract opportunity with a large F500 client in the Oaks, PA area.
Role &
Responsibilities:
oRead and understand business requirements, functional requirements, develop detailed technical designs and producing high quality level code.
oParticipate in the design of technical solutions to solve complex business problems.
oAbility to drill deep into subject matter with the expectation to evolve as subject matter expert on current systems.
oPerforms research and analysis - recommending solutions and driving decisions.
oThis candidate should be a strong utility type of programmer with the ability to switch context quickly and efficiently between different languages and tasks.
oThe candidate should be able to interact effectively with project managers, developers, technical operations, etc.
The ideal candidate will possess:
oExceptional system / technical analysis skills
oMinimum of three years OO analysis and design experience.
oMinimum four years development experience with Java.
oMinimum three years working in both Unix/Linux and Wintel environments.
oCurrent experience working with app server packages preferably WebLogic / J2EE / EJB
oStrong knowledge of the UNIX/Linux Operating system: shells, file systems, symbolic links, process management, etc.
oStrong problem solving skills, ability to infer from previous examples, willingness to understand how an application is put together.
oExcellent communication skills
oProven development experience in large-scale, enterprise-style financial services applications
Required Skills:
oFull development lifecycle experience as a mid-level programmer. Must demonstrate experience developing systems / projects from inception through implementation.
o3-4 years technical experience w/ distributed systems, preferably 2 years w/ EJB.
oJava - 4 years
oJ2EE / EJB - preferably WebLogic
oHigh level of proficiency in Analysis, Design, Build, and Deployment of EJBs (strong server side experience)
oExperience w/OOAD and an understanding of patterns
oExperience with continuous integration build tools i.e. Hudson
oExperience creating and maintaining ant build scripts
oExperience coding in Groovy or similar language
Desired Skills:
o3
years Oracle database programming experience, including performance tuning.
oSolid understanding of MQ; JNI; JMS/MQ; Oracle/JDBC a strong plus
oExperience in Linux/UNIX/Solaris/AIX; Shell programming / PERL a plus
